Multi-Discipline
Some of the questions the team have to ask themselves before they can think of the finished product are:- |
| Is there a need for the product? | | Will new engineering equipment be required to manufacture a new idea? | | Is it cost effective? | | Will it fit into the existing Welland range? | | Will the ostomate use it easily? | | Does it work? |
They are a group who pride themselves on being innovative but have to be open to suggestion, criticism and even occasional rejection of any new idea.
The R&D group introduces something like three new products each year and has consistently been doing so for the past ten years.
