Curvex®
The Correct Fit
Curvex® is available in a range of sizes in colostomy, ileostomy and urostomy pouches.
The choice of three plateau sizes ensures an optimum fit can be achieved for each ostomate.

The 32mm aperture size starts with a starter hole of 13mm and can be cut up to 32mm. It is available in both clear and opaque.
Lastly the 43mm aperture size starts with a starter hole of 13mm and can be cut up to 43mm. It is available in both clear and opaque.

How do you make sure you have the correct fit for your stoma?
Curvex® achieves a leak-free fit by conforming gently around any peristomal irregularities. Consequently, both the size of the stoma and the area of peristomal skin irregularity need to be measured as shown in the picture below. This will help determine the plateau size for your stoma. The plateau sizes come in a range of small (25mm), medium (32mm) and large (43mm).

Measuring the Plateau
Once the diameter of the stoma has been established (in this example 25mm) the area on either side of the stoma, where scar tissue, moats, recesses or dips naturally occur, must be measured.
The total measurement will indicate which size of plateau you will require: a 25mm, 32mm or 43mm plateau.
