Our clinically proven unique Dual-Carb^® filter has been intricately designed to tackle the two main kinds of odour groups that occur naturally from within our bodies; Indoles and Skatoles. Traditionally, concentration has been on the sulphur-based odours arising from many things such as medication, metabolism and diet, which contribute to odour. This arises from International standards that state that this kind of odour must be removed through the filters on today’s stoma pouches.

Diet items contributing to sulphur odours include proteins (meats, eggs) which are digested and when broken down, can give off an ‘eggy’ or sulphur odour. But, conventional filters are fundamentally missing out the other ‘core organic’ odour group that, once again, predominately arises from our diet, including things such as fish and dark green vegetables (such as cabbage, leafy salads or brussel sprouts) and can give off a ‘fishy or cabbage’ odour.

Our outstanding Dual-Carb^® filter has a revolutionary combination of technology with a unique blend of carbons that traps and absorbs odours (including Indoles and Skatoles) and then allows gas to disperse gently out of the filter at a natural rate (as shown in the picture above).
