Flair® Convex
Flair® Convex pouches provide the security of a traditional, hard convex flange with the comfort, flexibility and protection of a soft convex.
The revolutionary Convex pouch conforms to the body as it warms up with the body’s temperature, making it ideal for full or partially retracted/recessed stomas, or even stomas that have tilted causing a recess only on one side of the stoma.
Easy to use as the flexible nature of the plateau reinforcement allows the user to fold the flange during application to ensure accurate positioning of pouch- The surface of the plastic is smooth without any hard, rigid edges that may potentially harm the stoma compared to traditional convex products
- The soft, flexible domed plateau ensures a secure fit right up to the edge of the stoma without extreme tissue distortion, unlike other convex pouches that offer a flat plateau whereby leakage can occur at the site of the stoma
- Secure adhesion is achieved with the Hyperflex® hydrocolloid flange without causing skin discomfort on removal. It has moisture permeability, which allows the skin to breathe and reduces the likelihood of skin irritation
- Unique and innovative integral closure system has an easy grip tab to aid opening and a simple, folding closure makes it quick and easy to close. The hook and loop fastening helps tuck the closure mechanism away securely and discreetly
- Dual-Carb® filter that gently adsorbs odour
Flair® Convex can be used for:
- Retracted stomas
- Slightly sunken, tilted or recessed stomas
- Post-operative scarring/keloid scars
- Hypergranulation
- Post-operative weight gain/loss
- Flaccid abdomen-’jelly belly’
- Poorley sited stomas i.e. in a skin fold (emergency surgery)
- Loop stomas-especially ileostomies (proximal end can become flush to the skin)
- Telescoping stoma
